Most people with vision impairment in Vietnam live in rural areas where agriculture is a suitable career for them. With the guidance and support of several agriculture promotion staff, experienced farmers, and businessmen, Nhat Hong has developed techniques to train people with vision impairment work in the areas of tea, coffee, orchids, medical herbs, and sprouts cultivation. At the beginning, people with vision impairment need greater support that sighted people. Over time, they master the techniques and can work quite independently and productively.

Animal husbandry and breeding programs are also occupations that are excellent choices for people with vision impairment, if they have a suitable livestock farm. They can work side-by-side with their sighted family members in the farm.
